I just held my first jewelry party and went away with $1200.00 in my pocket and 3 custom orders pending. I could really use some advice on how to keep this going using my contacts from this party to keep it going. I did ask those that attended if they would host a party and offered really nice hostess gifts.
What is the best way to follow up and play off of this party? I could use some help with my organizational skills as I found myself running all over the place feeling lost most of the time. Maybe a setup that would help me out. I am very easily distracted and have a tendency to try to do multiple tasks at a time (unsuccessfully).

"Your course has not only helped me, but changed my life. I would have never believed that I could make such beautiful things. I have gained a new confidence that I will have for the rest of my life. I, like yourself suffer from severe depression along with panic disorder and fibromyalgia. I am a hair stylist by trade. Needless to say, I couldn't do the work. I took a leap of faith and bought the package that cost a little over $500 about 2 years ago. My husband had just lost his $80,000 a year paying job. The course more than paid for itself within 2 months when I did my first show. I didn't do great. I made about $500. Then a couple of weeks later I did my second show. I made a little over $2000 in that show which was held in a former chicken ranch out in the middle of nowhere Louisiana. Every piece of instructional material that I have purchased from you has more than paid for itself. Your instructional videos make jewelry making so easy. The step by step instructions are easy to understand, precise and a wonderful visual aid as well. That was very important to me as I am more of a visual learner. Also, your friendly personality and desire to really help people came through on your videos. The best part is about this business is when I wear my jewelry and people want to buy it right off my body. I don't have to say a word. The jewelry does most of the talking. I've received rave reviews on every piece that I've sold and yes, I've sold quite a few pieces. I would tell anyone who is even remotely thinking about buying one of your course packages, don't hesitate for one moment. If you are serious about starting your own business, I can't think of a better home business anywhere. You'll love the course, the videos, the beautiful jewelry you WILL be able to create and you'll love Preston and Mary. You get so much support, encouragement and an extended family as well. All the tools are there, you just need to take advantage of them. Preston, your courses did everything you promised and more. I can't say enough good things about the videos and learning tools. I could rave on for days. I can't think of one negative thing to say. Not one! My goal is to be completely self-employed within the next 2 years. I have no doubt that I will meet that goal.
The only other thing I can say is thank you, thank you, thank you for sharing your wonderful gift with all of us."

"I certainly have enjoyed your video tapes! You make everything seem so easy but I confess I have had to work hard to wire wrap my jewelry. Everything I make and show sells. I keep pulling back some of my "better" items of jewelry to keep and use as displays. Thanks for your help. "

"Your instructional videos are great. They show each step in detail and I like the fact that I can go back and look at the areas that I'm having difficulty with. I made quite a few pendants and then went back for a review and discovered a few things that I missed the first time around. When you are first starting out there is a lot to take in and being able to review is a wonderful feature.
I am constantly excited about this art and my mind is full of ideas and I'm so glad I found you on the web. I feel that this is an art in which you are continually evolving and getting better and better at as you go along and that there is no limit to what I can do."

"I do enjoy your videos. You are concise and give good tips along the way. I like the way you do step by step instructions and the options to add our own special touches. With the videos if I don't understand what you did I have the options of rewinding and seeing it again or fast forwarding if I do understand. I usually don't fast forward though because I don't want to miss any of the good tips you give while you are making a piece. You also tell us what you would charge for a piece. That is soooo helpful to me. Like most artist I love making a piece but find it difficult to put a price on it. Your tips help alot in that area."

"I got your basic instruction and materials package a while ago. I just wanted to learn a new skill, and I certainly did. I mostly make jewelry for fun or for gifts. Those I have given pieces to have really liked them. I have sold a few pieces too, and have made more than my original cost back! Your instruction is easy to follow, the jewelry is easy and fun to make, and the results are really impressive. "

"Because of you, I have enjoyed creating something out of loose materials, put something of myself in them, and either gave them as gifts, made them for myself, or sold to craft show customers. I have enjoyed every video I have purchased from you because I have learned something from each of them. I am a 70 yr old Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother. I mainly wanted to learn to wirewrap so that I could not only make my own jewelry, but to give a unique gift that had a part of me in it to my family and friends. I have been wirewrapping for approximately 5-6 yrs, on and off, and even though I haven't "gone professional", I have sold approximately 20-25 pendants to friends and a few customers at craft shows. Thank you for everything I have learned from your videos. Your techniques inspired me to create my own designs."

"I ordered tapes from Preston Reuther to learn how to better wire wrap the lovely stones that I had aquired. The tapes take you step by step in the wire wrapping course. They will be an aid to anyone that wishes to learn this trade. I have had much fun in using the tapes and have learned quite a lot. I highly recomend anyone purchasing the tapes. There is a welth of knowledge there. Order now and learn this fun thing and also earn extra money by selling your wire wrapped jewelry, or keep and wear and have everybody wanting you to wire wrap something for them. Thanks, Preston for the best tapes on the market. "

"The video instructions you sent were very good. Since I already have a full time job outside the home, I have not spent as much time on jewelry making as I would like to, but I have been able to make a few dollars.
We mostly do make bracelets, anklets, ear rings, and an occasional pendant, and necklaces. I hope you do well in your future ventures."

"Preston, I just wanted to say what a total inspiration you have been to me getting started in the jewelry business. I have always wanted to start my own jewelry business, but did not have the confidence that I have know, and yes I do owe my confidence all to you, for getting me started in such a wonderful business. I always dreamed of having my own business and it is a reality now. I thank you. I still have a lot to learn, but you gave me the opportunity to make it reality. I did not have alot of money and you e-mailed me and suggested the minimum start kit you offered to a few people and that was my start. Since then I have been able to purchase 2 more videos and plan to get more when the finances get better. I am making some money, I am still in the baby stages of business and profecting my sculpting technique. I get so many comments on my work, I am keeping the faith that one of these days, I too will be successful. I know there is alot of artist out there, but I have faith God is on my side and you made it possible for me to carry out my dream. GOD Bless Preston, I hope to meet the man that gave me the gift of creation. Thanks I am hoping to purchase theWire Sculpted Pendants Part 1. I really need to learn that technique. I just wanted to say thank you for the inspiration and bring this to not only me and teaching me, but others as well. "

"I have made money from the very beginning using your instructional videos and e-books. in fact, Isold my first practise piece 5 minutes after I showed it to a friend at work. Iwas the featured artist recently at a local jewelry and craft store. I have sold hundreds of pieces and given dozens as gifts. thank you so much. "

"Your videos are clear and concise. Your techniques both at teaching and jewelry making are exceptional. I have combined your techniques with my beading and done very well at local craft shows. Moreover, your "boot camps" have been so great! Just sitting in the room with a master enjoying his craft is an experience everyone should have. I recommend your website to anyone who wants to see the best at hand-crafted jewelry. And I also let everyone know that you have no secrets as many craftspeople do. You want to let everyone know what you do and how easy it is to do. That makes you such a special person. Preston Reuther is not only a master jewelry maker, he is a wonderful teacher who wants to share his gifts and talents with everyone. The videos are clear and easy to understand, and Preston reveals all the steps to a finished product. Many thanks, Preston, for being an inspiration to those of us who aspire to create jewelry.
I think of you often, and you are always in my prayers. "

The tapes are wonderful instruction and have been inspirational as well. I also benefit greatly from the coaching forum, your other students have helped me greatly not only with the technical aspects but with business and marketing advice. "Just as promised in your advertisements and website I have been able to learn the art of wire sculpting and jewelry making in a relatively short period of time. Not long after receiving your course I was off and running in the handcrafted jewelry business. Using my wife as a model for my jewelry she was taking orders from her coworkers from the very first day she started wearing my jewelry to work. I also began selling my jewelry from my flea market booth and soon had a following of regular customers buying my jewelry. Later I developed a website and although I haven't done that well using this venue I believe that in time It will become profitable too. In a relatively short period of time I was not only able to recover my initial investment in your course and tapes but also to start generating a profit. This profit is a welcome addition to my family as I recently became disabled and my wife and I are living on a fixed income. I would be happy to recommend your course and tapes to anyone that may be interested in learning the art for fun or homebased business or both. Your tapes are clear and easy to learn from and anyone using them should be able to learn this art quickly and be in business in a short period of time if that's what they are interested in doing. Thank you for the opportunity to let me express my appreciation to you and your staff for this opportunity and recommending your course to others."

"I have several of your videos and attended your workshop in 2002. I purchased supplies from you also until recently. I cannot tell you how much help you and your videos have been to me over the past two and a half years. I started my business in the fall of 2001 and had an open house. In 2002, I went to your bootcamp and did several juried art shows and an open house and had a pretty decent year. This year, my business has really taken off and I am doing some wholesale work and alot of custom work. I still go back to your videos to get pointers and reminders and I love the forums. Not only do you help with the technical side of things, but you really know the business and how to help people get organized to run their business. Thank you, Preston, for all you've done for me. You have been a real inspiration to me through your stories and experiences. I have a dream to live at the beach some day and make and sell jewelry while I watch the dolphins play and you have helped me towards that dream. It's going to happen, I'm sure of it! Thanks again and I'm looking forward to seeing your new products and videos. "

"I am so glad that there is a resource for those of us who want to learn more about this art. Your video series allows me to pick and choose the type of wire sculpted jewelry I want to learn to create and the video format allows me to replay any part that I need to "see again". I started creating my first wire sculpted cabachon after the first time I watched the video! It was so helpful to have the tips on selling too. I just sold a wire sculpted pendant on ebay for $125 and have been sculpting dichroic glass cabachons too. Your method gives me a solid foundation in the art of wire sculpting so I can have the confidence to "take off" with it and let my creativity flow. As a stay-at-home mom of a 3 year old, I'm not able to come to learn from you in person at one of your boot camps yet, but having my private tutor on video is the next best thing! My little guy likes your videos too! He just loves Uncle Preston and his "talking pliers"! Thank you for making these videos and God bless you. "

I watch at least one your videos every weekend so that I can keep the techniques fresh in my mind. I've noticed as I go through the Pendants, Rings, and into the Bracelet videos I learn more techniques about twisting and tucking the wire. In each video you share at least one technique that can be applied regardless of the jewelry that you are making. I'm very happy that I purchased the Complete Home Business Package that gives me a complete library to use at anytime. Please keep me in mind if you add another video to your collections.
As I have the opportunity to travel around I try to stop at Craft and Gem shows to look around at what other Artists are doing. It is very easy to spot the artist that purchase your videos. They never advertise the fact that they learned from you but you can tell by the way they setup the booth and the jewelry that they make and how they make it, they definitly watched your videos or attended one of your boot camps."

"I've made some beautiful jewelry, really lovely. I still get the videos out when I make a piece - it really helps. For the most part, I like to use my creations as gifts, as I have a fulltime job and a second part time job. I don't have time to run a business making jewerly. For me, it is a great hobby. Thanks for your help. I totally enjoy wire sculpturing! "

So, many thanks to you for sharing your craft. I'm sure that you have inspired many artists in a like fasion. I am a mom and a wife with three human children and over a hundred animal children (we live on a farm). I am very happy to be able to contribute well to the family finances while working from home. That is a gift of unequalled value. On top of that to be doing something that I love doing and having a creative outlet for all my creative energy. And, I get to play with me rocks too! What could be better? I can't think of a thing.
I have found your videos to be a concise, step, by step easily followed instruction. I further commend you on your attention to the strength or integrity of each peice as I have often seen work that I thought would surely fall apart with just a simple tug. I have no problem letting children handle my work even dropping it on the ground. It helps people to see wirewrapping in a whole new light. I think many view it as short term jewelry or jewelry that needs to be treated "very carefully". I show them how lasting it can be."

"I had ordered one of your tapes about 1 1/2 years ago. I had been making jewelry for some time yet had not found an 'easy' method for bundling that I liked through books etc. I found your tapes through a thorough search on the Internet for wire wrapping. I ordered your tape on pendants and I have progressed enormously to collars (without a neck mandrel), rings, necklaces, triplet pendants and more! All from just ONE of your tapes. That's how easy you had made it for me. I have a successful ebay business selling many of these 'Wire Art' pendants (selling for between $20 - $150 each) and also sell really well at Juried Arts and Craft shows. I have been trying to get it together to enter one of your contests! They are so varied in the work they draw in! While I don't ,or won't subscribe to any trade magazines, I would consider purchasing or recommending purchase of any of any of your tapes to any beginner or novice at any time! I have so enjoyed the simple, easy to follow instructions on your video. Thank you so much for the inspirational format you have put together! Thanks Preston, God bless and keep you and yours!"

"I have been making wire wrapped jewelry for a number of years. I took three trays of earrings with me on a cruise on a schooner with about 100 passengers. I made almost enough money to pay for the cruise and came home with orders worth about $500.00. I now sell my jewelry in an art gallery with higher prices. They are works of art now. I would like to get some tips on wrapping the small (5 x 7 mm) cabs. They are so tiny and hard to hold on to. I have also expanded to making ear cuffs. They are popular and easy and inexpensive to make. The only problem is that they have to be individually fitted on each person. Men buy them to wear so that they don't have to get their ears pierced. I like having the videos available to review whenever I want. Sometimes I think I have forgotten something, a tip or recommendation you gave and I need to refresh my memory. One thing I have learned is to not fight the wire. When I purchase it on a spool, it is wrapped tightly and needs to be straightened and to rest before I try wrapping with it. I cut the wires a day in advance and let them rest. The next day, they are easy to work with and the pieces turn out great. "

"The videos are the best investment I ever made. One picture is worth a thousand words. People look at my jewelry and say "how did you do that"? The videos tell all. "Along with a certain ability come necessary guidance. The tapes provide the guidance" Anyone that uses your tapes should be able to wrap a stone and come up with their own designs once they have learned your basics. If I get "jewelers block" (is there such a thing), I get out your catalog tape for inspiration. I can then come up with my own designs. I get really confused sometimes because I like to make different designs all the time. I haven't done as many shows as I would like but love it when I can.
Thanks for all your help!"

"I am stay-at-home mom of 2 small children. I also do the books for my husband's business, so I am kept pretty busy. Like a lot of other people, I felt the need to do something creative, and I tried all different types of crafts: decorative painting, quilting, sewing, leatherwork, etc. I was OK at most of them, but I never felt that I found that one thing that I was really good at. Then I found Preston's site.
One day, I was surfing the web, and just happened across this site that was selling wire jewelry making kits. It looked interesting, but I didn't want to spend money to get started. I started looking for books on wire-wrapping, and trying to teach myself, but it just wasn't working. So I went back to Preston's site again, and thought "well, there's a money back guarentee, so what have I got to lose?", and everything I need is included, so I ordered the kit. I had to hide it from my husband when it came because he would have thought I was nuts to spend so much on a craft (he should talk, his hobby is way more expensive than mine). I watched the first video and made my first piece (which I still have) and I was hooked. Preston's tapes made it so easy - the instructions were clear and easy to follow, and after some practice, I was making some really nice pieces. The first cameo I made, I gave to my mother, who proudly shows it off to all her friends. Now, thanks to Preston, I have my own website of custom jewelry and jewelry supplies, and I sell at higher end art and craft shows. I made back my investment after the first two shows. My husband is amazed at my creations, and very supportive of my new endevour. And best of all, I finally feel that I found something that I am good at."

"I am afraid I have not used your instructional videos, although I have been fortunate to use your wires, stones, materials and supplies. I have been extremely satisfied with your website and your company, and was sorry to hear that you were no longer going to carry stones, etc. But I am glad that you are still going to continue working with wire and teaching others your craft. I and my friends are hoping to buy a video and teach each other how to make such beautiful, wearable art."

"The videos are wonderful!!!!! I rewind and review and practice and practice. I have found that not many buy the intricate pieces here in the mid, New York state area. Business has been slow and I've tried craft fairs, etc. I have to guage my price per piece much lower than initial training info stated.Because I work full time as a nurse I haven't/can go full speed ahead. My next goal is a website but am not ready yet. By the time I am the internet may be flooded. Love the videos though! "

"Preston, I really value your instructional videos. You are really great and I love your work! Your videos have been the only instruction I have received other than from magazines. The visual of your tapes really help my learning style. I have been learning your methods and adapted them to my style. I have observed that many of the folks who have been students of yours really reflect your style. I don't think I am doing this. I just sent you a separate email with a picture of one of my pieces attached. I have watched your videos repeatedly to make sure I'm learning every aspect of your various wraps.

"I have most of your videos and have enjoyed every one of them. They are all of good production quality. They are much more professional than others I have purchased. I have learned many new techniques and some of my other skills have been reinforced from your videos. One of the major advantages of the videos is the capability of rewinding a section and watching it again and again until a particular wire sculpture technique is learned.
Thanks for all of your hard work on these projects and I look forward to new ones."

"Hi Preston & Mary; I soooo enjoyed the Boot Camp in May. It has helped my skill level tremendously however it has also increased my level of interest (this is a good thing).
Preston, I think that the class was well worth the investment. You are a very patient and knowledgeable teacher and are very good at presenting the construction of each piece in an understandable fashion. You are also very good at making each person feel as if they can create anything that they want to. I so enjoyed working with you and hope that we can continue to work together in the future. You have an addicted wire worker out here with a lot of questions and a fear of not being successful. Thank you again for all of your help!!! Julie"

"I must tell you that I have had the most fun learning this craft and have enjoyed many compliments from my family when I gave some of my work to them for Christmas. My sister-in-law wore her necklace to work and received several compliments...and now I have my first three orders! Thank you for this opportunity. I am now putting together a website as I have people interested in my work in North Carolina, Washington D.C., and Michigan...I live in Illinois. If anybody doubts about whether they can make money with this craft, they just need to try it for themselves and put their worries to rest. You are a wonderful teacher! I feel like I can't thank you enough..."

"I just wanted you to know how very pleased I am for taking up this wonderful business opportunity in wire sculpting. After 3-4 months of practising making jewellery here in England, I was able to put on my first show. It was a house party where I invited 18 close friends (ladies) to look and comment on my jewellery. The thought of having a show was very tense for me...sleepless nights, nail biting sessions. Well, within an hour I had taken orders to the value of $400 and also received requests for more parties. I was, as I am sure you know, over the moon! The comments that came back were "I have never seen jewellery like it," "It's unique," "How did you do that? - you didn't make it surely." Well, I would just like to take this opportunity to say THANK-YOU very much Preston."

"I received 12 of the videos yesterday and wanted to thank you. I've only watched about 3/4's of the way through the Introduction to Wire Sculpture Pt. 1 and I have to admit that I was feeling some trepidation when I put it in the VCR. I was afraid this was going to be so overwhelming, like so many of the books I've bought and couldn't use. I've got to tell you that I'm very impressed with your style of teaching so far. I didn't feel intimidated one little bit, instead I feel confident that I'll understand all the other videos as well. It's like a great mystery was solved with that very first project. I look forward to seeing them all and giving them my best shot. You've succeeded in making a system that isn't intimidating for the newbie, and that's a heck of a feat. Thank you very much, sir! Perhaps in the near future I'll have made an original piece I'm proud enough to submit to the gallery."

"Preston, Thanks! I had a fantastic teacher! I am enjoying it so much. I'm not doing any shows, but a local Salon/Spa has asked to set up a small display in the shop. I've sold ten or so pieces there in the past month. A few of my coworkers have purchased pieces as well. That's about it for now -- I am really learning wire sculpturing so that I'll have something exciting to do when I retire. I thought it would take a long time to learn, but with the videos (and I am so glad I bought them ALL) taught me in no time at all! I guess you have pretty well figured out that I am on my way -- thanks to your collection of videos! I can't imagine trying to learn this craft without them. They are GREAT!"
