Preston Reuther Master Wire Sculptor
Preston Reuther was raised in the lower ninth ward of New Orleans, Louisiana, where he was surrounded by some of the most famous blues musicians that ever lived. He attended Loyola University of the South and graduated from the New Orleans Police Academy. He has attended classes at William Holland School of the Arts, Florida Society of Goldsmiths where he studied under Mary Lee Hue, is a certified auctioneer and licensed jewelry appraiser.
For the last 25 years Preston has owned and operated multiple business - all in the wire jewelry trade, including an online jewelry supply company, a retail cameo jewelry site, a vintage jewelry website, the Handcrafted Jewelry Mall, and now the Wire Jewelry Bootcamp.
Preston has published more than 3,000 wire jewelry tips, over 1,000 wire jewelry articles, 10 ebooks, and over 35 instructional DVDs - all related to the art of wire jewelry. He has been published in Lapidary Journal, Rock and Gem Magazine, The Wire Artist Jeweler, Lark Books, Kansas City Star, Vicksburg Post, Small Home Business Magazine and in a New York Times Bestseller.
He is now active in the forums of the Wire Jewelry Bootcamp, Tip A Day, writing articles, creating new wire jewelry patterns and jewelry making videos for the bootcamp, as well as maintaining his retail wire jewelry business.
Preston has an extensive antique and vintage jewelry collection but his passion is collecting old pieces of wire jewelry dating back to the time of the Romans.
