I have always loved looking at, working with, fixing jewelry. I worked at an assisted living and for a fund raiser we collected old, broken, ugly jewelry for the residents to fix, clean up and price to sell. We made over $5,000.00 for the residents.
I had started making crosses out of beads and wire, had a class at our church and a total of 67 crosses were made...what fun. From there I just started making earings, necklaces, bracelets, etc
Then my life changed, I lost my husband in 08, my father in 09, and my dog in 10. I had to quite my job as my father was the caregiver for my mom, now I am the caregiver. I do not get out much, and found this site on the computer and was in heaven. My sister told me I made nice things, now I make awesome things-because of this site.
I just got a phone call, the Church wants me to teach another class, so maybe a simple pendant. (HELP-from this site of course)
A friend took about 5 pieces that she is going to put on e-bay to see if they sell and my hairdresser also is allowing me to sell my Jewelry at her place.
Thank you for this site and great directions on making jewelry.
Soon when I figure out how to take the prictures and get them on the computer I will show what this site has done for me.
